the things that last

when i get on the computer and write i take frequent email checking breaks
just got one that contained the line "your life story is written in the lives of those you love". ♥ it. we can stress all we want about giving our families everything we think they need, but all the accumulation in the world won't make up for lack in relationships.
especially in the light of catastrophe and heartache, whether it is in the world news or in the neighborhood homes of the families of the sick, we are reminded that the things that last aren't things at all. the best life stories continue on even after they go, leaving a legacy of love behind

hug your loved ones, tell them how much they mean to you, and get really good at saying sorry.

  1. Nice photo, Maryssa!

  2. So very true! Really the quality of our life is really dictated by the ones we share it with.

I've tried very hard to learn to be tolerant of differences and excuse the occasional lapse in judgment or common sense. My family and friends are so important to me and life has no got to make everyday count.

Thank you for this wonderful, thought provoking post and for your visit to my blog. Have a wonderful weekend!

love to hear from you :)
