I'm in the middle of reading Meg Wolitzer's novel "The Ten Year Nap" (about taking time out of career life to stay home with one's children). It is insightful, and hilarious, and rings true -- and I can't put it down. This morning, I flipped to the back for a glance at the author photo (i love picturing the author writing) and there was none so I did a google for one and came across her profile on amazon. In one of her posts she addressed how she has spurts of writing incessantly and in between that -- lots of reading. Which was reassuring, because when I'm writing and take a break, I want to fill up on fabulous writing to propel me along. Not so weird after all. Have to love a bit of parallel writer's life assurance.
