the day flip side of middle of the night writing

It's 4:01 am. I've been up writing for an hour or so -- tweaked the last sentence for my weekly article for the local paper (this week it's on small town infrastructure funding) and sent it in, added a few goals to my writing ideas file and now am starting the plinking away at the keyboard adding to my novel. I should probably tidy up between sentences -- this is how it happens that people could stop by in the day (working hours for regular life) and see me bleary eyed in my house of disarray. Thankfully I've just finished reading "Class: A Guide Through the American Status System" by Paul Fussell (a source of great laughs and insight into all kinds of snobbery)and now know that I belong to class X so none of the usual rules apply. I will remind myself of that tommorow when the inevitable happens.
